Attendance during personal injury and illness leave will be processed in the order of annual leave (reciprocal leave) → absence → leave of absence. Before entering a leave of absence, you will need to apply using either (1) annual leave / reciprocal leave or (2) absence, but the payment of wages will differ based on the application. Please indicate which option you will apply for in the check field of the leave of absence notice.
(1) During personal injury or illness leave, if annual leave (reciprocal leave) is used before entering the absence status, or when all annual leave (reciprocal leave) has been used prior to a personal injury or illness leave, monthly wages will be paid in full. Bonuses will be deducted based on the number of absent days.
(2) If you apply for an absence while having annual leave (reciprocal leave) remaining, the monthly wage for the period of absence will be unpaid (a deduction for the number of days absent will also apply to the bonus).
*In case (2), your supervisor needs to request the deduction of wages for the absence period from Shiseido Astech.
*During the unpaid period, you can apply for Injury and Sickness Allowance from the Shiseido Health Insurance Society, so please contact the Shiseido Health Insurance Society desk.
