A regular commuter pass including Shinkansen will be provided to those who have changed their place of work due to company orders or who commute to a company-designated client, etc., if the following conditions are met and the person
wishes to do so.
(1) In principle, the person must live in his/her own house or parents' house and commute from there to the workplace. (Note 1) (Note 2)
(2) The commute must take more than 2 hours one way by transportation other than Shinkansen.
(3) The commuting time can be reduced to 2 hours or less one way by using the Shinkansen for all or part of the commuting section.
(Note 1) If a person rents a house privately and pays his/her own rent, he/she is considered to be a self-resident.
(Note 2) “Residing in one's own residence and commuting to the company from there” refers to the case where the employee already resides in or owns his/her own residence at the time of the transfer, and commutes to work from there.
If you are unsure about the decision, please consult with your department head.
