Are expatriates leaving Japan between 1/1 and the January payroll date subject to the End-Year Adjustment upon departure?

If an employee leave Japan between 1/1 and the day before the January payroll, he/she is not subject to the End-Year Adjustment at the time of your departure from Japan. However, those who leave for new posts after the January payroll date are subject to the End-Year Adjustment.
